«César Ritz» Colleges Switzerland

Career Development Conference, 14 – 15 October 2005 (CDC 2005)

The annual Career Development Conference is one of the biggest and most anticipated events in a «César Ritz» year. During those days our students get the opportunity to show what they have learned in school and to meet with the industry face to face. They are exciting, interesting and special days. This year, 28 representatives from over 25 companies and individual properties participated and interviewed our students for training, entry level and supervisory positions.

Over 230 students had been practicing interview techniques and written CVs, resumes and motivation letters over the last few weeks. They were ready to go for the next step in their career, and a lot of them did.

Some of the recruiters are «César Ritz» Alumni coming back to hire new graduates and it is always a pleasure to see them again. As one said: “I am looking for the best, and I know that «César Ritz» students are good because I used to be one”.

After a long day with presentations and interviews, recruiters, staff and students enjoyed a well deserved stand-up cocktail dinner prepared and served by the kitchen and services classes. A big Thank You to all of them.

It was a very successful event and we’re committed to continue the good cooperation we have with these prestigious companies also in the future and to increase the number of participating hotels consistently.
