Panama, here we come!
22-26 June 2008

Tourism is on the increase throughout Central and South America. An extreme example of the boom can be seen in Panama where, not unlike Dubai, the construction of hotels, condominiums, office buildings, and so on, is happening at such a rate that demand for materials and human resources is becoming critical.

Panama is not the only country where the boom can be felt. At different rates and with varying levels of intensity, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, which has already established itself as a prime tourism

destination, El Salvador and Guatemala are putting more and more faith, dedication and, more importantly, economic resources into the development of tourism structures and infrastructure.

Add to the list Colombia, where one regional hotel group is currently developing or constructing as many as seven Marriott hotels (JW Marriott, Marriott and Courtyard), and you get a picture of a region that is full of potential for young professionals with multicultural, linguistic, academic and professional skills.

With a regional alumni reunion with folkloric dancing, an international round-table discussion on the skills required in the hotel industry, and a career market where current and former students can meet with industry representatives in the region and explore new career opportunities, this career trip promises to be a winner. The meeting point is Panama City on Sunday, 22 June 2008, and the alumni reunion will be held that evening. The event finishes on Thursday, 26 June 2008, when you are free to return to Switzerland or to continue your travels. The package includes accommodation from the Saturday or Sunday to the Thursday, transport to the various events and several meals. Air travel is not included: you can book your flight yourself or through us.

Do not hesitate to check-out the package with its tentative programme and flight information. Should you need any other information or you wish to join the Career Express to Panama, please fill-out the form and return it to Trude Gulbrandsoy at trude.gulbrandsoy@ritz.edu by the 10 May 2008.

We look forward to seeing you there!
