Programme Orientation
During the first year at Institut Hôtelier «César Ritz» in Bouveret, students will gain a sound knowledge of hotel operations with practical hands-on training. Years two and three will be completed at the University Centre «César Ritz» in Brig with a choice of electives from different trends in the hospitality and tourism industry and corporate oriented business courses. Admission criteria Applicants need a high school diploma (12 years of education) and an English language proficiency of TOEFL 500, IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. Applicants with advanced school leaving certificates (Abitur, International Baccalaureate, British ‘A’ Levels, Swiss Matura etc.) may receive transfer credits for compatible subjects to reduce the overall duration of the degree. Applicants who have attended other university programmes or recognised hotel schools may apply to transfer their credits. All applications will be considered on an individual basis. |
Learning Outcomes
Upon graduation, students of the Bachelor degree will be able to work independently, be capable of solving problems in the workplace and apply the knowledge gained throughout their studies. Additionally, they will demonstrate respect for others by working well within teams and be effective in communication. With compulsory internships during their studies, students can expect to be eligible for a management training programme when they graduate. Scholarships
Scholarships for the final three terms of the Bachelor of International Business in Hotel and Tourism Management are available for students who have completed a minimum of three full terms of study with «César Ritz» Colleges Switzerland prior to the award of the Swiss Higher Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management. An above-average CGPA is also required.
The award of a scholarship is subject to the rules and regulations of University Centre «César Ritz». |
