César Ritz Colleges hosts Swiss EuroCHRIE event

It’s a tradition that faculty members of Swiss hotel management schools including the Swiss Education Group schools (SEG) meet once or twice a year to network and share the research approach as encouraged by the EuroCHRIE association. This year’s first reunion was held at the César Ritz Le Bouveret Campus.

Susan Fournier, Leadership Programme Director at César Ritz Colleges and I-CHRIE President was proud to host the 2012 Swiss EuroCHRIE. After a warm welcome of Mr Emanuel Donhauser, SEG Academic Director and Mr Ronan Fitzgerald, Managing Director of César Ritz Colleges with coffee and pastries, the group of more than 20 educators assisted in the presentation of Dr Jenkins on Ethics in Research before visiting the new facilities offered at the Bouveret Campus.

Before heading back to presentations, the group enjoyed a fantastic lunch prepared by the Culinary Institute Switzerland students in the new César Ritz fine dining restaurant. The afternoon programme included a presentation of the upcoming EuroCHRIE Conference at Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne on 25-27 October 2012 and a presentation on social responsibility by Amy Lim Schwander of César Ritz Lucerne Campus.

The European Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (EuroCHRIE) is the official federation for Europe, the Mediterranean Basin, the Middle East and Africa. It is part of the International CHRIE (I-CHRIE), the leading international organization that supports education and training for the world's largest industry with more than 1,500 members worldwide.
