Career "hotspot" tours
Hospitality is a global industry and César Ritz graduates work all around the world pursuing successful international careers across five continents.

In light of the international aspect of the industry César Ritz Colleges has developed the unique concept of taking our students to experience the "hotspots" of the hotel and tourism industry.

Designed to inform and inspire career choices, each tour combines a number of behind-the-scenes hotel visits, presentations, interviews with Human Resources personnel, alumni meetings, and trips to tourist attractions.

It is a great way of giving our student’s first-hand experience of what it would be like to live and work in a foreign city, country and region: an invaluable indicator of whether a job abroad is something that might appeal to you.

Dubai 2010
Dubai is the largest city in the Emirates and home to some spectacular modern architecture. Students met with the Human Resource managers of the famous Burj Al Arab, the Park Hyatt, The Address, Raffles, the Atlantis, the One and Only Royal Mirage and the Grand Hyatt and enjoyed a full tour of the Emirates’ Catering facility.

After successful trips to Beijing, Dubai/Abu Dhabi, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Panama and Hong Kong/Guangzhou/Macao, where will César Ritz Colleges Switzerland take you next?

A hands-on approach that gives you a head start
All programmes on a César Ritz Colleges course combine theoretical coursework with practical internships.

The latter provides the opportunity for students to put into practice the skills they learn during tutorials and workshops; nothing prepares you better for your career than ‘hands-on’ experience in a real-life working environment.

100% paid internships
We actively encourage students to undertake internships in Switzerland to gain from the high quality of training available at Swiss institutions.

Thanks to César Ritz Colleges’ strong industry links, our dedicated Career Team works diligently to place students in a variety of different establishments: from international 5-star hotel chains in major cities such as Geneva and Zurich to family-owned boutique hotels in prestigious Swiss resorts such as Zermatt or St. Moritz.

We have a 100% success rate in Switzerland for finding students appropriate positions in the hotel and tourism industry and more than 80% of our students are placed in 4-star and 5-star hotels.

Ready for the real world
Prior to taking up an internship position, students are well prepared for their first year of studies thanks to the course structure, which focuses on the operational aspect of working life in a hotel: this gives students a practical understanding of how hotels operate at every level.

Students are assisted with all aspects of the interview process, from help in developing CVs and cover letters to practicing interview skills in our unique Leadership Programme. Also, because Switzerland is a multi-lingual country, first year students are taught the necessary language skills to help them seek and gain employment in Switzerland.

Ultimately, internships benefit our students in a number of ways: practicing the theoretical skills learned in class, gaining valuable work experience in the hospitality industry and providing the opportunity to develop an additional language.

Worldwide internships
If you dream of working abroad and experiencing entirely different cultures, then César Ritz Colleges can make this a reality.

Although students are encouraged to take a second internship in Switzerland, the choice to work abroad is also on offer, giving you the option of international exposure.

Our worldwide network enables students to find internships across the globe. These can range from placements in rapidly developing cities like Dubai or Shanghai to more traditional destinations such as London and Paris, or even exotic resorts like Tanzania. So there really is no limit to how far you can go!
