Sharing Experiences with the United Nations World Tourism Organisation
Susan Fournier, César Ritz’s Leadership Programme Leader, has just returned from Cyprus where she was invited to speak to faculty at the Higher Hotel Institute Cyprus. Organised through César Ritz Colleges membership of the UNWTO, Mrs Fournier spoke about sharing the experience of change: The Professional, Managerial, Contextual, Linguistic & Pedagogical Evolution of Culinary Arts and Hospitality/Tourism Management Programmes. She describes her experience saying, "it was wonderful to share our experiences in the ever changing fields of Hospitality and Culinary Education with colleagues from Cyprus who also believe and demonstrate that hospitality must be heartfelt."
As a member of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, César Ritz Colleges benefits from the exchange of knowledge and interaction with other institutions and membership is an important source of inspiration for staff and students. The UNWTO is a specialized branch of the United Nations, which serves as a global forum for tourism policy issues and knowledge in the field. Through its work it aims to promote the development of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism.
