Hervé Fournier, the Vice-President of “César Ritz” Colleges, Switzerland, has been appointed to the Strategic Planning Committee of International CHRIE (the Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education).

Founded in 1946, International CHRIE is a non-profit organization that provides an umbrella for educators, educational institutions, corporations and associations involved in the hospitality industry.

Its mission is to foster progress in industry-related training, learning, research and practice and to encourage the professional development of its members.

The Strategic Planning Committee is dedicated to facilitating the mission and goals of the wider organisation. Chaired by Peter Jones, it includes representatives from industry and educational establishments from secondary schools to four-year and international programmes.

Each member completes a term of service to ensure a balance of experience and innovation on the committee.

Hervé Fournier was President of the EuroCHRIE Federation in 2003 - 2004 (155 members) and is currently Treasurer of the federation.
